FAQ
Everything you need to know about professional home organizing in Toronto and the GTA.
Pricing and Value
How much does a professional organizer cost in Toronto?
Projects start at $449 for a single closet, $499 for a kitchen, $649 for a garage, and $749 for a basement. Whole-home packages start at $1,999. All prices are project-based, not hourly. Your final quote is confirmed after photo review or a consultation.
Is hiring a professional organizer worth it?
DIY works well for a single small space. Hiring makes more sense when the project is large, when you have tried before and it reverted, or when you are short on time. Hiring can also help when the decisions, lifting, measuring, sourcing, and donation planning make a project difficult to finish alone.
What is included in the price?
Every session includes a space assessment, sorting, organizing, labelling, storage product installation, a maintenance walkthrough, and donation drop-off (up to one carload). Storage products are either included in the package or billed at cost.
The Process
What does a professional organizer actually do?
Six steps: (1) Assessment, (2) Editing — deciding what stays or goes, (3) Planning a layout based on your routines, (4) Product sourcing for your dimensions, (5) Installation, (6) Walkthrough on how to maintain it.
How long does a session take?
Every space is different. After a free consultation you get a clear scope, a fixed project price, and a schedule you approve before we start — pricing is always project-based, never by the hour.
Do I need to prepare before the session?
No tidying needed. Just make sure the space is accessible, be available for decision-making, secure pets, and provide parking.
What happens to items I decide to get rid of?
Items in good condition are donated to local organizations. Magic Tidy includes drop-off of up to one carload. Items that cannot be donated are sorted for recycling or disposal.
