Cost & Pricing

How Much Does a Professional Organizer Cost in Toronto? (2026 Guide)

Professional organizing prices in Toronto depend on the space, the volume of items, access, and the amount of product installation involved. At Magic Tidy, projects use a fixed project scope rather than an hourly rate. Starting prices range from $449 + HST for a closet to $1,999 + HST for whole-home organizing. Your final quote is confirmed after we review photos or complete a consultation.

  1. Choose the space that is creating the most daily friction.
  2. Send clear photos of the full space, including cabinets, shelves, and floor area.
  3. Confirm what labour, products, donation handling, and follow-up are included.
  4. Compare the proposed result and scope, not only the starting price.

Magic Tidy Starting Prices for 2026

Service Starting price Typical focus
Closet Organizing $449 + HST Reach-in or walk-in clothing, accessory, and seasonal zones
Kitchen and Pantry Organizing $499 + HST Cabinets, drawers, pantry visibility, and cooking workflow
Garage Organizing $649 + HST Parking clearance, tools, sports gear, and seasonal storage
Basement Organizing $749 + HST Stored categories, shelving, labelled bins, and retrieval paths
Whole Home Organizing $1,999 + HST Several rooms planned as one connected system

These are starting prices, not automatic totals. A compact space with clear decisions may stay close to the starting scope. A larger space, heavier item volume, difficult access, or extensive storage-product needs can increase the quote.

What Changes the Final Project Quote

Item volume and decision load

Two closets with the same dimensions can require very different work. One may contain a small wardrobe that needs better placement. The other may hold several seasons, household supplies, luggage, and items that still need keep, donate, or relocate decisions. Photos help us see that difference before the work is scheduled.

Access and working room

Parking, stairs, elevators, narrow hallways, and the amount of clear sorting space can affect the plan. Condo bookings may also require elevator timing or building access information. Sharing those details early makes the estimate more accurate.

Products and light installation

Some projects need only rearrangement and labels. Others benefit from bins, drawer dividers, shelf risers, hooks, or other light storage products. Product costs are explained separately where applicable and may be billed at cost.

Donation or disposal volume

Every project should decide where outgoing items will go before sorting begins. Magic Tidy includes donation drop-off up to one carload. Additional trips, large-item removal, or specialist disposal require a separate plan.

What Is Included

A Magic Tidy project includes assessment, sorting, zoning, organizing, light storage-product installation where agreed, labelling of key zones, and a maintenance walkthrough. The goal is not only to make the space look orderly on the last day. It is to make the return path clear: where an item belongs, how easy it is to reach, and what happens when the zone becomes full.

That sequence comes from the service method used in our organizer training: diagnose the space and daily routine, edit and group the items, assign zones, then choose products and leave a maintenance rule. Products come after the system because two same-size rooms can need very different solutions.

How to Compare Organizing Quotes

  • Ask whether the quote is hourly or project-based.
  • Confirm which rooms, cabinets, shelves, or categories are inside the scope.
  • Ask whether storage products are included, billed separately, or optional.
  • Confirm how donation and disposal are handled.
  • Ask what decisions you need to be present for.
  • Make sure the final quote is written before the project begins.

A lower estimate is not automatically better if it excludes the part of the space causing the problem. A useful quote should describe both the work and the boundary of the work.

Start With the Smallest Useful Scope

If you are unsure where to begin, choose the space that costs you the most time each week. That may be a kitchen where ingredients disappear, a closet that slows every morning, or a garage that no longer has a clear parking lane. Read the full pricing page, review frequently asked questions, or send photos for a free fit check. You will receive a confirmed scope and quote before any work starts.
